Bonner Bundesbüdchen shines in new splendor
A piece of Bonn history is back on the Rhine. The kiosk in the old government district was reopened on August 21st in 2020. Formundraum GmbH had the pleasure to attend the ceremony as the new lettering on the historic “Büdchen” was made in our Neon Hiepler advertising workshop. Political celebrities like Helmut Kohl, Joschka Fischer and Norbert Blüm once bought newspapers, meatballs and sausages here. In the course of the building of the World Conference Center Bonn, the Büdchen had to give way. After 14 years it is now back, close to the old location, operated by the traditional Bonn bakery, Mauel.
The Bundesbüdchen was pretty battered a short time ago.
The advertising letters and the illuminated lettering come from Neon Hiepler, now the Büdchen shines again.
Master baker Mauel created the cake for the ceremony. Next to him are Peter Storsberg, chairman of the friends’ association, and Jürgen Rausch, former operator of the Bundesbüdchen.
Lots of celebrities and press hype at the opening.
